Product Description
Because it has no floats or moving parts, it is highly resistant to vibration, sediment and wear, making it reliable in small tanks and turbulent fluids. It provides a PNP transistor output that switches on when the polysulfone tip is immersed, and it is immune to ambient light. A 3/8 PT thread and an IP67 rating allow direct mounting into a container wall. The Carlo Gavazzi VP02EP is an optical point level sensor from the VP series, designed to detect liquids using the total internal reflection principle.

Version & Model Difference
The VP02EP is the PNP make-switching version of the Carlo Gavazzi VP optical level sensor family. VP01 models switch OFF in liquid (break switching) while VP02 models switch ON in liquid; VP01/02 use a polysulfone body for acids and bases, and VP03/04 use polyamide 12 for solvents. AC (SCR) versions such as VP02-110TB and VP02-230TB cover 110/230 V AC supplies.
