Product Description

This unit is built to a custom specification, allowing bulb length, capillary length, enclosure rating and contact configuration to be matched to the plant requirement. Mercoid, founded in 1916 and now part of Dwyer Instruments, supplies rugged electro-mechanical temperature controls for utility, petrochemical and heavy-industrial service. The switch provides reliable over-temperature alarm, control or shutdown functions across a wide temperature span. Mercoid gas-actuated (vapor-tension) temperature switches sense process temperature through a remote or direct-mount bulb and capillary, opening or closing electrical contacts at a preset set point without external power.
