Product Description
It accepts input from proximity (eddy-current), seismic/acceleration, and velocity transducers, conditions the signals, and provides continuous, real-time vibration and position measurements for critical rotating machinery. Each channel is programmed in pairs via the 3500 Rack Configuration Software to monitor up to two functions at a time — including radial vibration, thrust (axial) position, eccentricity, differential expansion, REBAM, acceleration, velocity, shaft absolute, and circular acceptance region. Processed values are compared against user-programmable Alert and Danger setpoints to drive alarms and, through relay modules, automatic machine trip. Front-panel buffered BNC connectors allow live waveform analysis without interrupting the protection loop, while isolated +4 to +20 mA recorder outputs feed plant DCS/PLC trending. Comprehensive self-diagnostics detect sensor faults and internal hardware failures (NOT OK status). The Bently Nevada 3500/42M (part reference 350042M) is a four-channel Proximitor/Seismic Monitor that forms part of the 3500 Series Machinery Protection System.
