It distributes the single fiber optic control link signal from the drive main control board to up to 4 separate I/O, auxiliary or extension drive modules. It provides galvanic isolation between fiber channels to eliminate electromagnetic interference (EMI), stabilizes high-speed serial communication between drive control hardware, and enables multi-module parallel expansion of ACS800 drive systems.
