The ABB 216AB61 is a rack-mounted high-precision analog output conversion module exclusively engineered for the ABB REG216 generator, transformer and unit protection relay platform. Performs high-resolution 16-bit digital-to-analog conversion to translate internal protection calculated electrical parameters into standardized isolated 4-20 mA analog current signals for external monitoring systems. Integrates channel-by-channel optoelectronic isolation circuits, TVS diodes and precision reference resistors to eliminate cross-channel interference and withstand severe substation EMI. Core functions: Convert internal digital protection measurements to 4-20 mA for DCS, SCADA, chart recorders and panel meters. Full galvanic isolation (1500 V AC) between each output channel and protection logic bus. Supports generator voltage, stator current, active/reactive power, winding temperature and fault alarm monitoring. Short-circuit and overvoltage protection per channel. LED channel status indicators for on-site fault diagnosis.
